The meeting chaired by Acting Khakim Zoir Mirzayev was attended by industry leaders, heads of agricultural clusters and relevant departments and organizations. Currently, there are about 40 clusters in the region, including those in the cotton-textile, grain and fruit and vegetable industries. In particular, 28,000 hectares of land and 1,196 farms were added to cotton clusters last year. They invested a total of 335 billion soums, created 450 jobs and exported $3 million worth of goods.

There are 6 cotton-textile clusters in the region. However, only Real Agro Sotton was able to process cotton into finished products. This year, cotton clusters plan to implement 23 projects worth 1 trillion 203 billion soums. As a result, 15,000 new jobs will be created, and exports will at least triple.
At the meeting, the existing problems were discussed in order to improve the efficiency of work in this area. First, the cotton cluster ABS Akkurgan in the Akkurgan district was analyzed. It was noted that in 2021, the cluster in the district plans to introduce drip irrigation technology on 2,000 hectares, but in practice, only 36.2% of the work has been completed. This year, drip irrigation is planned for 3,000 hectares of land, but work is said to be delayed. In addition, Boka has not yet launched a cotton processing project worth 44 billion soums with an annual capacity of 35,000 tons and grain processing projects with an annual capacity of 60.5 billion soums and an annual capacity of 50,000 tons. The cluster has not created 500 jobs, as investment projects planned for 2021 have not yet been completed. The scale of work in other areas is also unsatisfactory.
&ldquo;Our farmers are dissatisfied with the activities of clusters in many areas,&rdquo; said Zoyir Mirzaev. We need healthy competition in the industry. A person who works hard and honestly deserves universal recognition and attention. But there is no justification for the abuse of trust, especially the betrayal of the earth.
During the meeting, the work of clusters in a number of districts, such as Kibraysky, Nizhny Chirchik, Akhangaron and Piskent, was critically reviewed. Proposals were made to establish a council to coordinate their activities. Future plans have been outlined for the implementation of promising projects and support for entrepreneurs replacing clusters who cannot take advantage of the trust and opportunities provided.
